Barcelona's International Convention Centre (CCIB) comprises the Convention Centre and the Forum Auditorium, which are linked by a subterranean avenue. They are both fitted with state-of-the-art facilities in a highly versatile space that is beautifully integrated into the city's seafront: Diagonal Mar.
Since its opening in November 2004 until 2009, the CCIB has hosted a total of 491 events and has welcomed 2,392,513 delegates. It has been the venue of significant Spanish and international events such as the Euro-Mediterranean Summit of Heads of State; the World Conservation Congress (IUCN), the 50th Anniversary Gala for TVE and the Euro PCR Cardiology Congress, as well as events held by leading Spanish and international corporations. |
