The Advanced Machinery Technology Symposium (AMTS) is ASNE's biennial technical forum for naval engineers and practitioners working across shipboard machinery, propulsion, power, controls, and supporting systems. The symposium focuses on how machinery technologies are designed, integrated, sustained, and improved to meet real operational demands. AMTS is engineering-driven, emphasizing technical exchange, informed discussion, and professional connection. It brings together government, industry, and academia to share lessons learned, examine current capabilities, and explore where naval machinery technology is headed next. For AMTS 2026, the symposium's technical focus reflects the Navy's need to accelerate fleet capability through smarter integration of emerging technologies. Emphasis will be placed on artificial intelligence and data-driven approaches that help enhance decision-making, logistics, and machinery system design.
