After an 11-year hiatus, we are thrilled to welcome the 17th ASEAN Society of Pediatric Surgery (ASPS) Congress back to Singapore. It is with great anticipation that we look forward to gathering with our esteemed colleagues from across the region and around the world to share our collective efforts in advancing the care of paediatric surgical patients. The ASPS was founded to promote the growth of paediatric surgery in Southeast Asia through conferences, conventions, and research forums. This congress will serve as an invaluable platform for the exchange of ideas, knowledge, and experiences. Additionally, we hope it will strengthen collaborations and foster deeper connections among paediatric surgeons in the region. The theme for this year's congress, "Regional Initiatives, Global Context," reflects our shared aspirations to address local challenges while contributing to global progress.
