| Welcome to the 10th edition of the International Conference on Space Optical Systems and Applications (2025 IEEE ICSOS)!
We are excited to announce that this year's conference will take place in the historic and culturally rich city of Kyoto, Japan, from October 28 to 31, 2025. IEEE ICSOS serves as a key platform for exploring a wide array of technologies, procedures, and algorithms related to free-space laser communications for terrestrial, near-Earth, and deep-space applications. Our focus areas include subsystems, devices, components, laboratory and field demonstrations, signaling techniques, algorithms, link models, systems (both flight and ground), and concepts of operations. Held biennially, IEEE ICSOS alternates its venue between Japan and the US. It is also closely linked with the SPIE International Conference on Space Optics (IEEE ICSO), which takes place in Europe during even-numbered years. This arrangement fosters a global exchange of knowledge and innovation in the field of space optical communications. The conference offers a vibrant environment for researchers, engineers, and industry professionals to come together, share their groundbreaking work, and discuss the latest advancements in this fascinating domain. Accepted papers will undergo a thorough review process and will be featured in the conference presentations.
