The Pulp and Paper Industry Committee (PPIC) is a part of the Process Industries Department (PID) within the Industry Applications Society (IAS) of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE). The objective of the Pulp and Paper Technical Committee is, "To advance the theory and practice in the electrical field as related to the design and management of electrical systems within the pulp and paper industry." To support this objective, the PPIC encourages development of formal technical papers, panel groups and tutorials to be presented annually at the Pulp & Paper Industry Conference.
