The second worldsteel Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) conference will take place in Qingdao, China from 9 to 11 July 2025. The conference is jointly organised by the World Steel Association (worldsteel) and HBIS Group, and is hosted by Dahe Metal. This conference focuses on the life cycle assessment (LCA) of steel products and the systematic innovation of the value chain, aiming to promote the green transformation of the steel industry, efficient resource utilisation, and the coordinated innovation and development of the upstream and downstream of the value chain. By integrating LCA with the value chain system innovation, it strives to contribute to achieving the "dual carbon" goals and sustainable development. This conference convenes experts, scholars, leading enterprises, research institutions, policymakers, and representatives from related enterprises in the domestic and international steel industry to jointly discuss the innovative practical applications of life cycle assessment and how it can assist in the scientific carbon reduction and sustainable development of the industrial chain.
