The JCICC was inaugurated on Mozambique's Independence Day on 25th of June 2003. The first grand event that occurred at this monument was the Second Summit of the African Union (AU) Heads of State and Government. Moments before the occurrence of the Summit, the Conference Centre was attributed the name "Joaquim Chissano International Conference Centre" as a homage to Mozambique's former president. There are a variety of services which are provided by the Joaquim Chissano International Conference Centre. Essentially rental of spaces for conferences, seminars, workshops, meetings, various ceremonies and provision of professionally trained staff is all included within the JCICC package. Thorough marketing directed at the international market has allowed us to attract major events and honour the country. |
