The German Society for Orthopaedics and Trauma (Deutsche Gesellschaft für Orthopädie und Unfallchirurgie e. V.) (DGOU) - is a scientific specialist society with approximately 10 000 members and holds its office in Berlin. It is a joint association that bundles the objectives and tasks of its two constituents, the German Society for Orthopaedics and Orthopaedic Surgery (DGOOC, Deutsche Gesellschaft für Orthopädie und Orthopädische Chirurgie e.V.) and the German Trauma Society (DGU, Deutsche Gesellschaft für Unfallchirurgie e.V.). It represents the interests of all who are active in the field of orthopaedics and trauma surgery regarding research, teaching, education, clinical and practical applications as well as in field of regulatory health policy. |
