 When the RBC Convention Centre Winnipeg (formerly Winnipeg Convention Centre) opened its doors in 1975, it was the first "purpose built" convention centre of its kind in Canada. The facility was designed to be a catalyst in the rebuilding and revitalizing of Winnipeg's aging downtown. With upgrades and renovations throughout the years, we still remain Winnipeg's premier event facility for everything from meetings, conventions, trade and consumer shows, receptions to gala dinners and corporate events. Located in the centre of the city's bustling downtown, our three-story, multipurpose facility has access to more than 2,600 downtown hotel rooms and is within walking distance to many of the city's best restaurants and new attractions.
With our $180+million expansion currently underway, we're poised to grow to 264,000 square feet of rentable space which includes an additional ballroom, additional underground parking and over 133,000 square feet of pillar-less contiguous 3rd floor exhibition space. |
