 Located in Australia's largest provincial city, the facilities at the Centre include a 6,300 seat arena with retractable seating which provides a 4,500 sq m exhibition space.
The venue is set in the Newcastle Showground with facilities including the Centre Ring, Stables and Exhibition Pavilions.
The Centre has been managed by AEG Ogden since opening in 1992, over which time the venue has been home to a National Basketball team for 9 years, Swifts Netball Team and the Hunter Jaegers Netball Team until the restructuring of the competition for the 2008 season. It is now one of the three home venues for the Sydney. |
